At Heimkey ("Heimkey", "we") we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website heimkey.com, our QR/NFC products and the associated platform (the "Service"), how we use it and what rights you have.
Account data. When you create an account — with your Google account or with a magic link sent to your email — we receive your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your public name and profile picture. We never receive your Google password.
Content you upload. For your tags to work, you store information such as: links to your Google, Instagram or other social profiles; your WiFi network name and password; welcome details for your property (address, check-in instructions, recommendations); and custom texts or links. You control this content and can edit or delete it from your dashboard.
Technical data. Basic usage logs (IP address, browser type, date and time) and local storage in your browser to keep you signed in and remember your language.
We do not sell your personal information.
To operate the Service we rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf, solely to provide us their service:
We use the browser's local storage only for essential functions: keeping you signed in and remembering your language preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely infallible, but we work to safeguard your data.
You can request to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its processing, by writing to [email protected]. You can also delete your content directly from your dashboard.
We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
The Service is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this policy. We will publish the current version on this page, with its update date.
